No Sentiment over at Winter Wonderland

Good morning

It's Friday and we have a brand new challenge starting over at Winter Wonderland.  This week the theme is ...

No Sentiment
(any Christmas card or project but no sentiment)

The design team got some images from our sponsor The Paper Shelter to use and I chose Snowman.

I coloured the image with Copic pens and added glitter for the snow.

The paper is from the Winter Wishes Digi set by Nitwits.  The tree is a Marianne Die which has also been covered in glitter (needless to say I was also covered in glitter!)

This week we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are offering a $20 Gift Certificate

and
Inovachest who are offering a Goody Bag

Please pop over to the Winter Wonderland blog to see the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the design team.
We are also having a DT Call and you can find the details here.

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.

Thursday Inspiration at Digital Delights - Christmas Topper

Good morning

Today is Thursday which means we have some inspiration from the Digital Delights Design Team to share with you over on the Digital Delights blog.  This week I've used one of the images from Christmas Toppers Set Five (Coloured) which you can find in the Digital Delights store.  These are really good for quick Christmas cards.

I printed the pre-coloured image twice and cut the hat and bow tie out and decoupaged them. Glitter was added to the band on the hat and bow tie.  The sentiment is from the Magical Winter Sentiments set also available in the Digital Delight store.  The stars are a Memory Box Die (Precious Stars) and the ribbon is from my craft box.

Please pop on over to the Digital Delights Blog and check out the fabulous creations from the other members of the design team.  Also don't forget we have a new challenge starting over at Delightful Challenges.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.

Easter Bunnies

Hi there

Hope everyone is well this Good Friday and for those of you who have a long weekend ahead I hope you have something nice planned.  I'm hoping to spend some of it crafting.

I don't send many Easter cards, but here is one that I made for my husband's aunt.

The image is Bunnies in Plant Pot and is available from Di's Digi Designs.  Copic pens were used to colour the image and I heat embossed the eggs with Transparent Embossing Power (you can just about make it out). A mixture of fun flock and flower soft was used for the bunnies tails.

Papers are from the Vintage Spring Basics Paper Pad by Maja Design and the sentiment is a LOTV stamp - Set 26 Simply Sophisticated.   The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (Cherry Blossom, Cosmos Daisy and Sweetheart Blossoms) and the glass flower stamens are by Anne Marie Designs.  A tonic punch was used for the butterflies and the lace and gems are from my craft box.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Di's Digi Designs Challenge : Easter Challenge
Papertake Weekly : Easter Time
Created with Love : #79 - Easter
A Creative Romance : Eggcellent Spring
Moving Along with the Times : A card containing the word 'Happy'

Thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments.  Have a good Easter.

Hostess Monday at Digital Delights

Good morning

Welcome to another ‘Hostess Monday' over at Digital Delights.   Today I would like to share with you some Post-it Holders I've made:

Materials Used:
Card
Strong Double Sided Tape/Wet Glue
Post-It notes
School Digital Paper Pack
Images - Party Pencil and Chillin out Bookworm (available from the Digital Delights store)

Tools
Scoring Board
Paper Trimmer
Corner Rounder (optional)

Cut a piece of card measuring 20cm x 8.5cm.  With the longest edge at the top score at 8.5 cm, 9.5cm & 10.5 cm.  Fold the card at the middle fold line and make two snips up to the next score line.  Hold the card on the score line and open out and fold in the opposite direction.  Push out the small section which you have just snipped.  The bottom, which will hold the post-it note will be longer.  Add tape onto the fold closest to where the post-it note goes and stick down.  I've rounded the corners, but this is optional.  You should end up with something like this.

To decorate the front I took a piece of patterned paper measuring 7.5cm x 7.5cm and rounded two of the corners, then layer onto card which measured 8cm by 8cm.  I then took the image and layered onto card and placed on top of the patterned paper.

Add the panel to the front and take a pack of post-it notes and stick this onto the back panel.

I hope you found this project enjoyable and inspiring. They are very quick to make and can be sweet little gifts for teachers or your children’s friends.

Enjoy your Monday

I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas at Winter Wonderland

Good morning

Hopefully Blogger is working this morning as I've scheduled this post as I may still be asleep at the time when it needs to be posted!!  My son has been on a school trip to Iceland and arrived back into Edinburgh Airport at 11.15 pm last night.  It was then a 2 1/2 hour coach transfer to get them back to school.  So guess who was sitting in the school car-park at 2.30 am this morning!! Just as well I've got today off.
As today is Friday we have a brand new challenge starting over at Winter Wonderland.  This week the theme is ...

I'm dreaming of a Pink Christmas

and here's my card:

The gorgeous image is 'All Wrapped Up' by LOTV and she has been coloured with Copic pens.  I added glitter to the edges of the poinsettia flower and underneath her feet for snow.  I then mixed glitter, flower soft and fun flock for her hand muff.

The backing paper is by Wild Rose Studio 'Xmas Bella' and I've used the following dies - 'Double Scallop Doily' by Whimsy, 'Poinsettia' by Spellbinders and the Ivy is a Marianne die.  The sentiments are by LOTV 'Christmas Sentiments Tag'.  Ribbon and gems are from my craft box.

This week we are being sponsored by Wild Rose Studio who are giving away three stamps to this week's lucky winner.

Vintage/Shabby Chic

I was totally out of my comfort zone this week, and I have to warn you that my attempts at Vintage/Shabby Chic never seem to turn out any good, but here's my effort:

The image is "James - Decorations" from LOTV and has been coloured with Copic pens.

The papers are "It's Christmas Time" by Maja Design and the sentiment is "Festive Baubles" by Craftwork Cards.  I used Vintage Photo around the edges (although you can't see that very well in the photo!). Embellishments include flowers from Wild Orchid Craft and lace, ribbon and pearls are from my craft box.

This week we are being sponsored by The Ribbon Girl
